I attended a talk today about The Institute for Research in Schools  it was interesting to hear about embedding research in schools and allowing young people to participate in research actively rather than passively – it really inspired me to ensure that I do more outreach in schools and with young people so that we don’t only hear their voice we actively listen to it and then do something!

It is also really important to ensure the project is right to allow children and young people to get involved and start to lead on other work as a result. Healthcare and medicines are such an all embracing topic that this is a “no brainer” for me – so now I have to just do it.
